Instagram gets offline mode on Android
80% of Instagram’s 600 million users are outside the US, so it needed a way to provide a better experience for users with limited network connectivity or no data plan. Instagram announced its built support for using most of its features without Internet access. More will come in the following months, and Instagram tells us it’s exploring an iOS version.

Snapchat lenses steps into reality
Snapchat launched its wacky, colourful lenses in 2015 as a way to turn users’ photos and videos into selfies that vomited rainbows, zombies or dogs. Now, anything in the world can be overlaid with 3-D graphics.
