Facebook Made Another Mistake in Measuring its Metrics
First, they messed up its maths earlier in September, and then did it again in November. For the third time we’re seeing more flaws in its ad stats, but this time on engagement numbers for links and live videos. Facebook is making changes to the metrics though. If you’re lost, here’s a list of FAQs that address what changes have been made and what’s pending.

Like Comments on Instagram!
Instagram is updating its comments so users can like each other’s comments on posts.
They’re also adding the ability to turn off commenting on specific posts and remove followers from private accounts without blocking the entire person.

Break the Ice with LinkedIn’s Conversation Starters
Not sure how to start a conversation? LinkedIn now gives you a set of preset conversation starters for your contacts, with a bit of twist. It uses your contact’s recent professional activity, shared experiences and connections as starters. Just click on the lightbulb, choose the preset you want to use, and you’re good to go. Simple!

OUR TAKE
Things may not look too good for Facebook right now with their miscalculations, but we’re still really optimistic with using it as the go-to platform for brands. They’re still the largest social network around, with a plethora of targeting options that generates results for brands. These missteps prompt us to relook at their numbers with a little more care, and since 2017 is around the corner, realign our benchmarks and KPIs.
